Our Commitment

At Changeboo, we are committed to ensuring our virtual try-on technology is accessible to everyone. We believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy of trying on new outfits virtually, regardless of ability. Our apps are designed following Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Supported Accessibility Features

Our mobile app (Swapbo) supports the following accessibility features on iPhone:

VoiceOver

Full support for Apple's VoiceOver screen reader. All buttons, images, and interactive elements include descriptive labels and hints to help users navigate the app without seeing the screen.

Voice Control

Users can navigate and interact with the app using voice commands. All interactive elements are properly labeled to work seamlessly with Apple's Voice Control feature.

Larger Text (Dynamic Type)

The app fully supports Dynamic Type, allowing text to scale according to your system text size preferences. Whether you prefer smaller text for more content or larger text for easier reading, our app adapts accordingly.

Dark Interface

Full support for Dark Mode. The app automatically adapts to your system appearance settings, providing a comfortable viewing experience in both light and dark environments while reducing eye strain.

Color Independence

Important information is never conveyed through color alone. We use icons, text labels, and patterns alongside colors to ensure users with color vision deficiencies can fully use the app. Success states include checkmark icons, errors include warning icons, and all status indicators have accompanying text.

Sufficient Contrast

We use iOS semantic colors that meet WCAG contrast requirements. Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient contrast ratios for readability in various lighting conditions and for users with low vision.

Reduced Motion

For users sensitive to motion, the app respects the "Reduce Motion" system setting. Animations are simplified or disabled entirely, including the processing indicator animations. Progress updates are still clearly communicated through text and static indicators.

How to Use Swapbo with Accessibility Features

Using VoiceOver

With VoiceOver enabled, you can navigate through the app using standard VoiceOver gestures:

  • Swipe left or right to move between elements on the screen
  • Double-tap to activate buttons and interactive elements
  • The "New Outfit Swap" button will announce its purpose and provide a hint about what happens when activated
  • Progress updates during processing are announced automatically
  • History items announce their creation date and provide navigation hints

Using Voice Control

With Voice Control enabled, you can say commands like:

  • "Tap New Outfit Swap" to start a new outfit swap
  • "Tap Account" to open account settings
  • "Tap Continue" to proceed to the next step
  • "Show names" to see labels for all tappable items

Adjusting Text Size

To adjust text size, go to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text on your iPhone. The app will automatically adjust to your preferred text size.

Minimum Touch Target Size

All interactive elements in the app meet Apple's recommended minimum touch target size of 44x44 points. This ensures that buttons and controls are easy to tap for users with motor impairments or reduced dexterity.

Ongoing Improvements

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our apps. Our development process includes:

  • Regular accessibility audits using Xcode Accessibility Inspector
  • Testing with VoiceOver and other assistive technologies
  • Incorporating feedback from users who rely on accessibility features
  • Following Apple's latest accessibility guidelines and best practices
